Ok guys, blog has been dead for a while, but I’m back 100% back now.
Where I’ve been:
Some amazing news, I won the SEM contest over at Marketing Pilgrim! It was nice competing in a national level contest and walking away with some amazing prizes. The two best prizes are free passes to PubCon and SMX East! I am planning to attend both! If you’re heading to either, let me know.
Will be blogging soon now that I have internet at my new place.
I haven’t been answering emails due to minimal access to the internet when out of work. I work full time as the SEO Manager at Paramore|Redd, so I will be taking on less consulting work. I will also be increasing my rates.

Shutting down sites? That’s a drag. Just no time for them huh? Hopefully, you were able to sell them so at least you got some income. Hope the new job is going well.
Yeah, not all of them. I had a few “in the works” things that I don’t have the time to complete. Just setting them all to a point where I don’t have to spend much time on them.
They’re not all “shut down” as much as on standby. Least some of them will age a bit.
WOW– *hearty congratulations* on that big win!!!!!!
Thanks! =)
Congrats on the win Justin. It’s nice to see someone of your caliber come out on top. Good luck with the new job too, I’m sure your win there also.
Thanks agrande. It’s been a lot of fun here at P|R. I’ve been learning just as much as I’ve been teaching.
Great! Welcome back!
Thanks!
Way to go Justin! Hope you like the new job as well also.
Awesome! While I’m kind of surprised you chose to focus on someone else’s gig rather than your own stuff, I’m a firm believer that Life unfolds to the better way. It’ll be interesting and rewarding, no doubt, and that’s nothing to shake a stick at, eh? I’m glad to see you back here, and I look forward to following your journey… which is taking you to PubCon and SMXEast, no less! HUGE Congrats!
Yeah, I’ve been asked about “working for someone else” a few times.
The original goal of this blog was to help define myself as THE SEO in Nashville. P|R is a great step in that direction.
One of the big reasons I wanted an SEO job was for the experience. I know SEO, but I’ve never worked in a business environment or pitched national level clients. I have 28 other people to work with, so the level of projects I can take on are much larger.
Thanks for the congrats! =)
Well done Justin.
How do you get away with being an SEO manager and offering consultancy? I was offered a job similar in the UK but they wanted it written into my contract that I only worked on SEO for them.
Sounds like a good deal you have there and you can seriously supplement your income. Hope it all goes well.
Yeah, I was concerned at first. I can’t disclose any information from my projects, but I’m allowed to freelance, which is really nice.
Yeah, I still plan to run some affiliate marketing sites to supplement my income.
Thanks Tim! =)
Justin, congratulations. Paramore Red sounds like a great, creative work environment. Your success is well deserved.
I responded to your tweet about the Skanks in NYC blogger outing. Thanks for giving me something to write about this week!
You got it made man! Welcome back to Nashville.
Congrats Justin! TopRank owes you a press release. Want to email me so we can connect on details?
Cheers.
It is good to see you back, you have a useful blog so you could be the best SEO in Nashville
