The Nashville SEO and Online Marketing Scene

So, anyone who reads this blog should know that I am working on dominating Google for all Nashville related SEO and online marketing terms. I’m not going after “Nashville Web Design“, because I don’t want to just design sites, but would rather be hired to SEO the hell out of sites. We’ll I’ve selected a few keywords I’d like to rank #1 for on Google. They aren’t high search volume keywords, but I want to be “the SEO guy” in Nashville by the time I get this site rolling. I want anyone who’s looking for SEO work in Nashville, no matter what they search. So to start with my main keywords are: Nashville SEO, Nashville Web SEO, Nashville Online Marketing, and Nashville Internet Marketing. So I did a quick search on each of these again today, and I want to share why I think I can dominate these terms so easily.

Quick side note: my friend seems to think its wrong that I do this for the marketing terms because I’m not full on internet marketing guy. I admit, I’m not. I don’t get into PPC or email campaigns. But, I don’t claim to anywhere. What I do is SEO. Period. SEO is a sub area of online marketing. So if you want other forms of marketing, I don’t provide them at this point. I may in future, but for now its SEO. But if you want SEO, come to me. And I’m going to show you why.

Ok, when promoting yourself as an SEO company, don’t you think you’d apply your own services to your own web site? Well, you’d be surprised how little these guys have done SEO. You’ll soon learn, if you don’t already know, that LINKS are very important in SEO. If I can beat your links, I can out rank your site. Period. So lets look at the links.

I searched four phrases: Nashville SEO, Nashville Web SEO, Nashville Internet Marketing, and Nashville Online Marketing. Well, I came across 3 sites that I consider competition for these keywords.

  • workmedia.net
  • sitening.com
  • madhatzmedia.net

Now, who’s the big boy out of this list. Hands down, its Sitening. These guy seem to know what they’re doing. They have several SEO tools they provide and know how to generate links. Beating them will take more effort, but I can easily get right underneath them.

Sitening Stats:
PR 6 5 years old 24,000 domain links 13,000 home page links
Now, there is a site that won’t be easy to beat. My blog is 2 weeks old, it’ll take me at LEAST 6 months to a year minimum to get competitive with their PR. I don’t know too many PR 6,7,8 sites who are willing to give me a link for this site. Also, thats a lot of links. Lastly, the site has been around for 5 years. Thats a lot of authority with Google and won’t be easy to beat.

Workmedia Stats:
PR 2, 4 years old, 1,600 links, 376 to home page
This guy only has a PR of 2, which after four years, isn’t much. He is fairly deep linked, but his number of links won’t be hard to beat in a few months.

Madhatzmedia Stats:
PR 3 1.5 years old 744 links 739 to home page
Still not hard to beat, maybe a 1-2 more months I’d say. His PR is good, but 744 isn’t that many links, and he isn’t deep linked. His PR is fair, but thats not hard to obtain in 1.5 years.

So, where is SEO Zombie

So, what are the stats for SEO Zombie right now:
PR: 0, Age: 3 Weeks, 85 links and 82 to home page.

So guy, lets see. I’ve been link building for 3 days, and have collected 85 links. Nothing impressive, but not bad. I’m going to continue to work on links to my home page, until I get a few hundred. Then, I’m going to start working my inner links until I get at least twice as many deep links as home page links. Then, in a few months we’ll see where we are at. Let me note, there is always a chance I could get sandbox. If I do, it could take me up to 6 months to get listed well, but I don’t think I will because this isn’t an ultra competitive high volume niche.

So, if you’re curious about hiring SEO Zombie because you’re in Nashville, just keep watching for us to rank among these guys I listed over the next month. I’m confident I can out rank 2 of the 3 in a few months. I was really shocked to see these professional online marketing companies in Nashville not focus on back links.

Really impressed by the work over at Sitening, but not so much by some of the other “SEO” guys listed for Nashville in Google.
